Koh Phangan’s best beaches take a little effort — a bumpy track, a longtail boat, a short hike — and that’s exactly why they stay beautiful. A few favourites:
The remote north

West-coast sunsets
Zen Beach near Sri Thanu is the island’s sunset ritual — people gather in the shallows every evening. Salad Beach and Hin Kong stretch out nearby with calm, shallow water and wide-open horizons.
Snorkelling at Koh Ma
