The temple is an active place of worship, not a tourist attraction: monks go about their routines, local families come to make offerings, and the pace is calm and unhurried. The climb to reach it is short and the compound compact, manageable at any time of day — though early mornings give the best atmosphere, with softer light and fewer people. Cover shoulders and knees before entering, remove shoes at hall entrances, and keep voices low. Free to visit.
